Maggie’s Menu: Grilled Green Shrimp

Message from Maggie:  I created this marinade from herbs in my garden.  It was a a delicious summer inspired taste.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 t. red pepper flake (more if you like it spicy!)
  • 5 sprigs parsley, minced
  • 1/8 t. pepper
  • 1 shallott, minced
  • 1 T. lemon
  • 1 T. lime
  • 2 T. white wine
  • 6 basil leaves, minced
  • 2 T. olive oil
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 3/4 pound of shrimp

Instructions:

  1. Place ingredients in a small blender and blend until a consistency between a paste and a liquid forms.
  2. Spray skewers with olive oil.
  3. Skewer shrimp.
  4. Brush marinade onto shrimp and allow to sit for 30 mins.
  5. On a medium heat grill, grill shrimp skewers for a about 3 minutes on each side.
