Message from Maggie:  As another take on this recipe, I created these black tie inspired chocolate covered strawberries.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint of strawberries
  • Parchment paper
  • 1 cup of white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Wash strawberries and dry thoroughly.
  2. Melt white chocolate chips in microwavable dish in 30 second increments stirring in between until melted.
  3. Dip strawberries in white chocolate and place on parchment paper.
  4. Once white chocolate sets on strawberries melt semi sweet chocolate in microwaveable dish in 30 second increments stirring in between until melted.
  5. Dip each side of the white chocolate strawberry into semi sweet at an angle.
  6. Place on parchment paper to dry.
  7. Place rest of semi sweet into a ziplock bag or squeeze bottle.
  8. Pipe semisweet onto chocolate covered strawberries to look like buttons.
