Make: Placemats

Message from Maggie:

A few years ago Mr. Magpie and I attended a dinner party for a friends 30th birthday party in Brooklyn. The birthday boys sweet sister created these placemats documenting his life highlights to date. I filled this idea away in the back of my brain and finally created one of my own for my parents 50th wedding anniversary.

Materials:

Canva account

Instructions:

Create a Canva account on canva.com.
Begin creating a design by clicking the document icon.
Using the images and shapes create a timeline of events (Note: I included the important stuff like marriages and births but also some funny more personal things to bring it to life. Don’t forget to use that logo you created to pull the theme through.)
Click download and save as a high quality image.
Print at a local print shop or online through Catprint.com.
Put placemats at each place setting.
